Everything.

That’s the simplest and most elaborate answer. Everything is different. End of story.

Still, though, you might be a little reluctant to try payday lenders because you’ve had bad experience with loan sharks in the past. And who can blame you? Loan sharks have that traumatic effect on people. If you are among the few unfortunate people who happened to fall into Shark Bay, then rest assured that’s not going to happen to you if you try payday lending. Payday lending is an entirely different matter.

To say that they are different is oversimplification in all sense.

First of all, a payday loan is not a scam. The interest rates may be high, but for all the benefits that you get, they are nonetheless very fair. In addition, payday lenders operate legally. They are very unlike loan sharks in that sense. You don’t have to worry about somebody knocking on your door making threats about your debt. That if you failed to repay the money on time, you will either end up at the bottom of the lake or the interest rates will redouble.

You have no security from loan sharks. It’s a desperate move to pull. While going to a payday lender is a last resort for many people, it’s not as desperate. There are still things that you can and should do to avoid going to a loan shark.

The interest rates that loan sharks impose are outrageous, to say the least. Funny thing is that they have little or not requirements. Well, except the fact that they need to know your name and the place you are staying. That’s solely for the purpose of beating you up should you fail to repay the loan. On the other hand, a payday lender will ask you legal proof of your personal identity. This is a safety precaution for both you and the lender. There are signed legal agreements discussing the terms of the loan. You can go through it and expect as much protection as it says you will have.

Getting a payday loan is easy. It’s not the first choice of many people, but it definitely is not a financial suicide. On the contrary, going to a loan shark is a literal suicide. If you don’t value your life at all, to say nothing of how much you value your finances, then feel free to seek out a loan shark. Otherwise, just rely on the payday lender to get you out of your tight financial situations.
